Muriwai Main Beach

Muriwai Beach

North Auckland, West Coast

Muriwai is one of the most nothern Auckland West Coast Beach. The southern end of the beach features a left-hand point break and the massive long beach with good beach brakes, lefts and rights. It's known for its strong rips and when it's big some experience is required. I got a couple times in trouble myself here, from just being not cautious enough and unfit. If conditions are good beach can be packed and it helps a lot if you go to the northern car park past the gold course and walk up the beach ot use your 4 wheel drive to drive north for some privacy.
