To commemorate this special event Laird Hamilton and the Hawaiian OXBOW team are coming to Europe. OXBOW invites you to the Totally Bananas birthday party, to live the Oxbow Waterman Experience and to share unforgettable moments with the best Watermen in the world. The 5 Watermen are: Laird Hamilton, Kai Lenny, Jason Polakow, Duane DeSoto and Levi Siver.
The 3 Stages are: - June 5&6, Guéthary-Bidart (France)
- June 12&13, Guincho (Portugal)
- June 19&20, Scheveningen (The Netherlands) Every stage includes: - The Oxbow Waterman Challenge: come and share a session with the best Watermen in the world.
- The movie premiere of The Oxbow Waterman Experience, as well as a free gig with the awesome up-and-coming rock band, The Dukes.
The Oxbow Waterman Challenge is a multidisciplinary event with one common theme: to have fun in the water! No judges, no scores and no pressure: just riding and sharing all kinds of equipment in all kinds of conditions. 24 Watermen, including 6 kids, are invited to spend0 two-day sessions with OXBOW. Ocean conditions will shape the choice of the watersports discipline – Stand Up Paddle (SUP), Surfing, Windsurfing, Kitesurfing, Longboarding and more.
A vote from the Watermen present will enable OXBOW to select and reward the best participants out of the two-days of sessions. The best adult will be offered a trip to the OXBOW World Longboard Tour in Hawaii. The best kid will be granted a one-year sponsorship with OXBOW. During the two-days of Waterman sessions, exclusive coaching will be provided to all attendees in all the Watersports available, including Surfing, SUP and the Hawaiian Outrigger Canoe. You will also watch the first showings of The Oxbow Waterman Experience. This thrilling new movie captures our Watermen’s amazing and unforgettable winter season of 2009/10 in Maui, Hawaii. Follow the biggest wave riders and finest ocean athletes, dedicating their lives to the sea by exploring new and exciting ways to ride the most intensely challenging waves in the world. And to heat up the action even more, a live concert with The Dukes will guarantee a Totally Bananas Party.
