Surfcamp and Location
Slide Surfcamp is located at the Atlantic coast in the north of Portugal. The region around Aveiro is also called “Venice of Portugal” - not without good reason! Uncountable water channels, narrow alleys and an unrivalled maritime flair enchant the visitors and invite them to linger around.
The spacious surf villa is placed in first beach row in the cozy village of Praia da Vagueira and the numerous terraces provide a dreamlike ocean view. In Slide Surfcamp, all conditions fit to a perfect surf holiday at the Portuguese Atlantic coast. Thereby, surfing always takes centre stage and we do everything to bring you onto the board and to improve your skills. We are extremely passionate about surfing and love to pass on this passion to you.
Yoga and Surf Lessons
As a matter of course, we offer different surf lessons that fit your ability in the water. Depending whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced surfer, we will work on the technique and practice. Thereby, our focus lies on small groups of maximum eight surfers. In addition, our location offers the rare possibility of a very chilled atmosphere in the water without crowds, because our camp is off the beaten track.
Our surf coaches are all licensed and know exactly how to bring the sport of surfing closer to you. For that purpose, the ideal equipment is essential. We will provide you with top-qualitiy surfboards and wetsuits that facilitate the first steps on the path towards a skilled ride. To increase your awareness about your progress, we do regular video analyses which we will discuss in detail.
For those who like yoga we offer yoga classes befor or after the surf lessons. Our Yogateacher loves to practise yoga in special places like on our roof top, in the dunes or on a SUP in our swimming pool.
The Surf House
Not everyone can claim to have spent the holidays in a villa right at the beach. At Slide Surfcamp you have the possibility to do exactly this! Our spacious surf house with pool, terraces, huge living room with fireplace and a cozy chill out room is the perfect starting point for your surf holidays. The double and shared rooms are well-groomed and offer complete relaxation between the surf sessions. From here, you can check the waves on your doorstep, chill by the pool under the strong Portuguese sun, try different massages or explore the surrounding villages. The highest mountains of Portugal, the Serra da Estrella, are within reach by car and offer perfect conditions for hiking and mountain biking. Between your activities, our team cares for well-balanced meals. On demand, we provide you with great dishes in the morning, at lunchtime and at dinner. The possibilities are boundless!
Activities in Slide Surfcamp
Our focus is explicitly on surfing, but we offer numerous other sportive activities for all action freaks and adrenaline junkies.
On of them is Stand Up Paddling – whether in the waves or on calmer waters, the chilled locomotion is worth a try. And with a bit more experience, ripping the waves is absolutely possible.
In addition and with the help of our local partners, we have the complete package of maritime activities on offer. Kitesurfing, windsurfing, sailing, catamaran riding and kayaking – all this is possible.
How to get here
The closest airport is Porto (OPO) but it is also possible to reach us via Lisbon airport (LIS).
There we can pick you up and drop you off on demand.
You can also get to Slide Surfcamp by train, bus, or rental car.
Arrival and departure day is Saturday.
Minimum age is 18 years.
