Located on the hills surrounding the small city of Ericeira, looking over the ocean, the surf camp Villa is the perfect place to discover some of the best waves in Europe. Surf Riders Camp is 2 minutes by car from the center of Ericeira, an old fishermen village featuring typical light-blue and white houses facing the ocean. Restaurants and night clubs have a very good environment and are crowded by turists every year nd always with the warm welcoming of the locals.
THE HOUSE
The surf camp is a Portuguese style villa. The house has a large garden with a view of the ocean. The house offers double rooms, twin rooms and shared rooms (max 4 people) with common bathrooms (bed sheets and towels are provided at arrival), a large dining-room with a fully equipped kitchen for guests, external barbecue and a relax area with swimming pool, tv and video.

The mattresses and pillows are one of our main concerns - comfort and quality is essential. The apartment decor is minimalist, modern and relaxing. All decorative items from the apartment are on sale - can make the purchase at checkout. The apartment is very spacious with several windows and natural light. The build quality is of a high standard and is fully equipped.The building was completely rebuilt in 2016.

All decorative items from the flat are for sale - can make the purchase at the checkout. The flat is very spacious with several windows and bright. The build quality is of a high standard and is fully equipped.The building was completely rebuilt in 2016 .

THE CAMP
For those who want to learn surfing or improve their level, Surf Riders suggests the surfcamp package! For a week we will be taking you to the best surfing spots in the area where you can have a completely safe try-out of your first take-off and you will be catching your first waves. You will find qualified instructors at the beach to guide you step by step and to provide you with all of the necessary equipment. At the end of your lesson, you will be taken back to the surf camp or to the villa depending on your wishes, you will be tired but happy!
WORLD SURFING RESERVE
The coast surrounding Ericeira, renowned worldwide for the quality, consistency and regularity of its waves, offers in a range of few kilometers an incredible variety of surf spots and beaches. You will find waves for all levels! The São Julião and Foz da Lizandro spots to the south offer beach breaks perfect to learn surfing or to improve it safely. On the right days their sandbanks offer you waves of optimal quality and allow surfing even when elsewhere the sea conditions would not let it.
Proceeding north along Ericeira’s small town lie a series of mostly rocky spots following one another: Praia do Sul with the Furnas break point, Praia do Norte, São Sebastião, Matadouro beach (perfect for beginners)Praia da Empa with the Pedra Branca and Reef peaks, two tubing waves (one left and the other right) more challenging than the previous. A few hundred meters to the north, in a beach nestled in a rocky cove, you will find the long right wave of Ribeira D'Ilhas: a great consistent spot that works with any tide and, especially with an W/NW swell, offers waves hundreds of meters long. Perhaps the most famous spot in Ericeira, is also suitable for low-to-medium level surfers.
Top-level waves await you further to the north: the Cave’s radical reef and the fast Crazy Left point anticipate what is regarded as Ericeira’s best wave, Coxos, a perfect right point that produces a powerful tubing wave in a landscape still unsullied and well preserved. Without doubt one of the Portugal’s best waves.
NOT ONLY SURF
Ericeira is also a perfect starting point for discovering the many attractions of the Estremadura region: not far from the famous old village of Sintra, one of the most popular historical well-known locations in Portugal which has also been declared, since 1995, a Unesco Human Heritage and natural park of Tapada Nacional de Mafra, a charming location for those who love nature. If you are interested in spending a day walking along the small streets of Baixa and Chiado, or taking pleasure in an evening between Alfama and Bairro Alto, Lisbon is easily reached either by car or by bus (around 40 minutes ride).
