The surf camp is located near Bloemendaal, Zandvooort, Haarlem and Amsterdam and only 5 minutes from the beach. The surf course is ideal for beginners who want to learn surfing in the mostly peaceful North Sea .
THE SURF COURSE
The surf course is taught by experienced surf instructors. The most important in our lessons: 100% fun and safety. Each teacher is internationally certified, which means that the teachers are also qualified lifeguards. The structure of the surf course is based on the international standards developed by Australians. Step by step we teach you to catch your first wave. With individual approach we make sure your learning curve is the steepest possible.
Holland is one of the best places in the world to learn kitesurfing. This extreme, soon to be olympic sport is gaining popularity fast. Cruising over the water in and making jumps is spectacular! In a 3 lesson program we will teach you the basics to get your kitesurfing career up in the air!
After the daily two hours of lessons, you can either continue surfing or take a hot shower at the surf school. Tired but satisfied you can have a drink at the beachclubs or just relax at our camp in one of our hammocks. The surf school is right on the beach, which means that you do not have to carry surfboards from the camp to the sea. The surf school also has 11 Stand Up Paddle (SUP) boards. Stand Up Paddle is a lot of fun and getting more popular fast.
THE SURF CAMP
The camp is open from May to September and is located at the campsite "De Lakens" This high en campsite has won an award in 2009 for the best beach campsite in Europe! Also this year, the campsite is nominated again. "De Lakens" is located in the Kennemer Dunes National Park. The campsite has good facilities. The Camp offers simple but good tents with beds.
After the surfing lessons the camp crew has a lot of others activities to offer and of course they always know where the party is at. Some surfteachers also sleep in the camp and they are happy to introduce you to the Dutch surf scene. Our part of the Dutch coast is popular, because it is one of the most beautiful areas of Holland and very easily accessible.
Zandvoort is just ten minutes away by bus from the camp. This place is very popular with the tourists. Between Zandvoort and Bloemendaal is the "Circuit van Zandvoort" where on weekends car races often take place.
From the German border is only two hours by train or by car. If you are traveling by plane it about 45 minutes by bus or train from Schiphol Airport.
