Waikawau
Coromandel at it's best
Waikawau is a cool beach access on the east coast of the Coromandel. A good place to camp over night. Hard to find those places on the Coromandel. From the Coromandel Town head north past Kennedy Bay to Waikawau Bay. Beach has reef/point and works on all tides. Best on solid east or northeast swell. Uncrowded and forgiving like most eastcoast breaks.
